Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I told myself when this blog began that I was going to post at least once a week. We can already see that goal is too large for me to handle.   :o)

After all of that painting in Cameron’s house, who would’ve thought that I’d survive? It really wasn’t as bad as I’m making it sound. It just makes makes the time fly by- which is both good and bad. The last two weeks have pretty much been a blur. I got to pick the color of the last room though! My superior taste paid off- the color rocks my socks off every time I see it.

In the school life, my spring break is officially over today. I’ve got a paper due soon, and I’m hoping that it’s not due on Tuesday. It’s a lengthy paper to write in just a few hours (Which is all the time I have to spend on it between now and Tuesday a.m.) Yes, I am a procrastinator. However I do have an excuse! I’ve been working on my resume for the last week- asking opinions about this and that and bouncing it to important people. So at least I got one thing accomplished. I need to get motivated soon-like.

Not doing much with the mom or any relatives lately. Too much drama for me to even think about dealing with right now. I need to surround myself with positive people who enjoy life. I’m the only kid that’s gone to college on my mom’s side and I’m the only kid to get lectured about everything. I feel like Peter from Officespace (in the sense that I have around 8 bosses and when I seem to do something wrong, I get lectured on it- 8 times) . -sigh- I digress.

Let’s see- the work life is a bit interesting at the moment. I have a co-worker that growls whenever he gets upset and my other co-worker blew his knee out… so now he’s working from home. I love the peace and quiet, but we are a weird bunch. We = growly guy. He’s the guy that’s going to build up so much frustration that he’s finally just going to bring in an M16 and kill us all. I give him candy every now and again- in hopes that when he finally gets to my cubicle (if I’m still there) he’ll spare me because of the skittles I gave him the previous day.

Oh, my nephew sent me a little paper guy named Bob via the USPS. He is a paper cut out doll that I am supposed to take to a national monument or area of importance where I live… and take a picture of Bob with it. So Cameron and I both get off work at 5 and we’re going to First Landing Park to take a picture of Bob in his sailboat. (hand crafted all by myself with the use of construction paper, crayons, and stick glue- this boat is seriously kick ass). I shall post pictures when they are readily available.

In other news, particularly news having do to with the relationship that is Cameron and Ashley, I’m happy. I like who I am when I’m with him and I enjoy being able to kiss one of my best friends.  Time has never really worked out for us in the past, though the feelings were there just as they are now. So I’m glad time has finally figured out what the hell it’s doing. :-)

Alright. Sleepy Time.

So I now have a blog, as you may have noticed. I’m not exactly sure what to do with this thing… so I guess I’ll just start talking and hope that it entertains someone out there.

Life has been rather eventful as of late.

I graduate from ODU in May and I can’t wait to get out of there. Everyone always said “You don’t start liking ODU until you graduate”and I didn’t used to believe it; I now agree whole heartedly. School itself is great, I enjoy the classes- don’t get me wrong. It’s the little things that drive me nuts. (i.e: Parking or the lack thereof and Risking my life to cross Hampton Blvd.)

I work at ECPI College of Technology creating, formatting, and playing with code for their on-line courses. It’s an enjoyable grown-up job, but I’m looking into some jobs with the city that pay better with included benefits. There’s a job in Portsmouth that I’ve got my eye on, so we’ll see how that goes.

I don’t really have any other news- It’s pretty much work and school for me. Other than my guy, who I totally dig. :)  He just got a house in Portsmouth so I’ve been helping him paint and spy on the neighbors. We did that all weekend (painting mostly, not so much spying) and had a lot of fun in the process.

Met up with Amanda(the bestest) last night in Wal-Mart and she helped me shop. We got some sushi and walked around… eating it while shopping. I’m suprised no one said anything to us, although we did get some looks. Yes, we paid for it.  It was deliciouso. o_O.

So far, no one I’ve asked actually knows when Easter is. Everyone was so excited about that holiday as a kid, how could it be forgotton so easily? The concept of some gigantuous bunny bringing you a basket filled with chocolates and dollar store toys that would break in an instant. I’ve asked mostly men, perhaps I should start asking women. They should at least remember it because of it’s chocolatastic qualities. I guess everyone grows up and moves on from chocolate to alcohol- everyone seems to know exactly when Mardi Gras or St. Patricks Day is.

Well, it’s been fun. Until next time.
